INTERVIEW

Aiming to create a stage that can be proud of the world,
Days of learning and challenges

Sales Department Technical

January 2024 Mid-career hire / KN

He joined the company hoping to take on the challenge of managing one of the world's largest arenas, utilizing his experience in managing live music venues and gaining knowledge of the special stage equipment at K Arena Yokohama.

What kind of work are you in charge of?

We are responsible for planning and designing the venue setup, directing external technical staff, arranging equipment, and on-site inspections and troubleshooting on the day of the event. K Arena Yokohama has some of the same performance equipment that is typically brought in for live concerts permanently installed, and aims to be "ease of use" that takes into consideration setup and dismantling, and "accommodate a variety of performances," so we are working to achieve this.

Please tell us about the atmosphere of the team and the characteristics of the members.

The team members are cheerful and get along well. We also go out to eat together. When it comes to work, everyone is very serious. I mean that in a good way, but that seriousness may make it seem like there's a bad atmosphere on the day of the performance. As I mentioned earlier, K Arena Yokohama has permanent production equipment installed, so we need to explain how to use it to the organizers and deal with any equipment problems, which requires a lot of knowledge, but there are people on the team who have experience from previous jobs, so it's an environment where it's easy to ask about things you don't understand.

What are your career plans?

I hope to acquire not only knowledge about the stage, but also a wide range of skills and knowledge related to the entire facility, including video, sound, and in-house equipment, and become someone who can provide the world's most enthusiastic support to organizers at the world's best arena facility. In the future, I would like to personally realize a performance hosted by K Arena Management and, by taking on the overall responsibility of directing the entire stage, create a lasting impression on the audience.
